Converting a *.ps to PDF via Distiller

Converting a *.ps to PDF via Distiller
Hi, i'm using distiller that came with acrobat v5. I'm using a program called arcview to create maps and the *.ps file. 90% of the time when i print to PDF the output is fine, however other times lines are missed out and some of the colours become faded etc. Is this a common problem with...- m1tch
