After reading the blog, it seems that you will need to install the MS Visual C++ runtime to use VFPencryption.fll.

Duh, I've got it. We had a couple of bloated foxuser.dbf files and VFP was redrawing the screen for each record. I erased the files and I'm back to normal. Sorry to waste space.
We have 4 programmers using VFP9. 2 of them get about 15 seconds of flashing screens when starting the program, 2 do not. I thought that they were all set up the same, but now I have doubts. Would anyone know what I might try to eliminate this annoying flashing?
