Does anyone know if it's possible to access the backend of Sharepoint via, say odbc SQL??
I would like to set the properties of individual columns at the table level in order to restrict access to certain fields.
cheers,
ROb
The end goal is a payments log displaying:
- Date payment received
- Payment no.
- Payee
- Currency
- Amount
- Who is responsible for actioning the payment
A single administrator will receive payments off a fax machine and enter them into the log. Users will view the log and tick off the ones...
I've now sussed out how to create the linked list in Excel and publish it to Sharepoint as you suggested. The problem is that if I lock any of the columns in Excel, I can't create / publish the list to Sharepoint.
I tried using calculated formulas in Sharepoint but couldn't get this to work either.
Brian, thanks for that.
One further question...I created the list but now need to populate all columns as part of a start-of-day process(including the read-only ones).
Best Regards,
Rob
Hi all,
I'm trying to create a datasheet in sharepoint which will display all columns as read-only except for one field which will be editable.
Does anyone know if that's possible??
Many thanks
Rob
