    You must turn off "Treat All Objects as Filled". This was a feature in 9, as well. Irritating? Heck, yeah -- reminds me of Illustrator. Go to Tools/Options/Workspace/Toolbox/Pick Tool Deselect. Be sure you download and install Service Pack 1, as well.
