Insert from excel to access works, update does not

simple ping host is down question
Hello, Could someone please tell me if I receive the following response when I ping, ping: sendto: host id down ping: wrote xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 64 chars, ret -1 Does this mean that something is using that IP address but incommunicado?
