I recently took over the support of an AVST 9.0 system that covers a Nortel 61C and Avaya Aura 6.3. My question is there are 2 servers configured I'm guessing the first is the application and the 2nd if the actual database where the messages are stored any insight would be greatly appreciated...
We have AAM 6.3 when a user tries to access their mailbox a recording plays saying mailbox is busy. For the user I have removed the mailbox and built one with a new number and still getting the same result. Has anyone come across this and what did it take to resolve it. Thanks in advance.

Do you have to configure tone generation in order to have zip tones generated? The reason I'm asking is that we have 15 different clusters and only 1 has tone generation configured.

We are trying to have 96XX VPN phones write to a syslog so we can keep track of when there certificates will be expiring.Its currently working with 46XX. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
When adding users sometimes it will allow you to add a user stating the user id with a lower case. Then when you go to add another using it will not allow you to create it starting with a lower case and will only allow upper case. Any suggestions on a workaround. Thanks
Trying to get my nightly incremental to complete successfully but it always dies on Directory Board. Is there anyway to tell what board maybe having the issue? We have 4 other PBX's that use the same SM and not having any issues with the incremental.
Hopefully someone can answer this question. I need to find out how many recordings there are between a 6 month period and also where are the recording stored. And what is the easiest way to get that 6 month ranged moved so that it could be played from Windows Player or something similar.

I am working on a G430 w/8300 and Ground Start DID trunks. The problem I am having is instead of outpulsing the DID for the extension it is showing the BTN for the trunk. Since this is not an ISDN circuit I can not be added to the public unknown issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
