Can I use ACCS on the IPO Anywhere demo?

I've had some downtime lately and figured I'd play around with R11. The knowledge base mentions that there's 1 license for a ACCS instance included amongst other things like power users and whatnot. Just wondering if it's worth the huge download and if the Anywhere demo actually has a WebLM I...

Anybody have any DECT R4 go down today? Checkpoint...?

Had a customer with DECTR4 at a few different sites using a H323 trunk to CM. Don't know why, but it uses port 5120. The Checkpoint firewall downloads its automagic hotfixes from the internet last night and today decided that plain unencrypted h323 trunk traffic on port 5120 was actually old...

    SNMP polling on IP Phones?

Hey guys, Been looking around to see if there's anything to enable SNMP polling on IP sets - i2xxx or 1100 series. All I can find in the docs is that they can't send SNMP traps, but I was hoping they had some capability like the 9600 phones where if I happened to SNMP poll a data switch and...

Upgrading R210 SBC to 7.2 - BIOS help?

Anybody get a R210 up to 7.2.0GA where you need to do the BIOS update? Avaya really copped out on the documentation there and just posted a link to Dell's website for the 2.1.2 BIOS to use. Figured the easiest way was FreeDOS bootable USB with the standalone executable. It booted. The...

What's the difference with all the SCC power supplies in the way they boot up? And a 655A?

And how does a 655A in a G650 compare? So, I found out a customer built their PBX out of spare parts including many TN2224B HV12 circuit packs. The ones that don't use their angel ID to set a delay in when they draw max current when the PN powers up. The ones that can overload the power...

Brett, Is VXWorks on a VAL Board POSIX Compliant?

I'm thinking it's not. I guess I'm just the most recent person to support someone who thought it was a good idea to name their announcements $message.wav Why would they let you do that? fun fact: cat listoffileswithDollarsignsinthem.txt | sed "s/\\$/\\\\$\\\/g" >...

Mobile Preferred and Remote Worker DTMF

Hey folks, Does anyone know if they updated the iOS and Android apps lately...perhaps in anticipation of R10 and changed how the clients do DTMF? I just solved an issue with a customer where remote workers could no longer dial their own conference bridges on the IPO on mobile (thru SBC) but...

    List trace station with transfer

I know you can "list trace station 1234/7" to trace station 1234 and press button 1 and that the buttons on the phone are 6+ the key you're pressing. What are 1-6, and can I list trace a station once to make it transfer and a do a 2nd list trace to autodial a destination to transfer to?

    UCM V2 bios firmware

If any of you haven't read it yet, read tech tip 288. For any of you unfortunate enough to install V2 UCMs, have fun shutting it down to find out what bios it's running and if you need the update, to have to do it from the DTE port.

    Don't use 9.1.4 manager on 9.1.6 IPO!

I just learned the hard way that using a 9.1.4 or older manager on 9.1.5 and up has an issue with some new SIP security stuff. Merging the smallest of changes from an older Manager wipes out all the SIP supervisor/login codes of all your SIP sets.

Audible message waiting on aut-msg-wt keys?

Question: Is there any way to set up audible message alerting on aut-msg-wt keys? I'm finding that the stutter tone only seems to apply if the station's lamp would be lit, not if an aut-msg-wt key is activated. Is there any way to do that?

Distinctive ring for 2 DIDs on a fax

Hey Everybody, I was going to be testing this out tomorrow with a customer but was wondering if anyone had done what they're trying to do... Previously, they had 2 DIDs for the fax, on one analog line into the machine, and 1 DID would print and the other would send to reception as a PDF. I'm...

SBCE Remote worker phones vs VPN

I was wondering if anyone has successfully put E129s or some other basic SIP phone on IPO through the SBC as remote workers and has any stories they'd like to share about it. I ask because we're doing an SBC for 1XM preferred access from the internet and we have a client requirement for...

Server Edition VMPro 9.0.5 mailboxes occupying 4294967295 MB of space???

Anyone have some weird issues with 9.0.5 Server Edition with a secondary running VMPro as well? I'm thinking they're having problems syncing and sometimes I get messages like these in the secondary. /var/log/rsyslog/127.0.0.1/2015-06-01/ipovmpro_user.log:<14> 2015 Jun 1 03:02:36 HOST-SECONDARY...

Installing Server Edition 9.0 SP5 on R620 with extra drives

I've been racking my brain trying to help some colleagues install server edition on an R620 with an extra drive for Contact Recorder. Sometimes the install works, but it never sees the extra drive, and other times, you scrap the install by trying to add the extra drive and get no bootable...

    Speed/Duplex...?

I feel stupid on this one, maybe its a brain fart... where can I set the speed and duplex on an IP500? Is there anywhere in SSA or monitor I can see what is set vs what it really is? Is there anything I can do IPO-side to see what it has set vs what it really is at to try and eliminate the...

Can I loop music on a G700 instead of playing from start for 1 caller?

I was looking for some help regarding G700 music announements, and how to make them loop. For the most part, it works fine, and as long as anyone is hearing the music, it keeps playing and anyone else that is told to hear music in a vector hears the music from the same place. My problem is...

AAM 6.2 Subscriber Activity Log Time Zones

I'm pestering Avaya to fix a bug in AAM 6.2 - don't know if every patch level has it, but 6.2 SP2 seems to. The subscriber activity log in the MSS requires a start and end date/time to show a user's logs. The web interface into this does not care what time zone your PC or AAM is in. If you're...

Alternate Gatekeeper List - what order do things go in?

Hi all, I've got some CM 3.1 gear with location 1 running S8500 and 3 G700s. 1 of them has an LSP in it. These are all Network region 1. In location 2, I have 2 G700s, running off the 8500, but also with a LSP. The 2 gateways and LSP are all in network region 2. There is, what I contend...
