Anyone ever see a poser supply delivering both AC AND DC power?
Call pilot has quit but still has lights. I couldn't remember what they took (AC?DC) when I checked the voltage, it had 8VDC AND 17VAC.
Guessing and hoping that is the issue?
It's been a while since I have worked on a legacy Avaya Partner. I just added a 206E to a B&B for a new 7 unit building.
I was able to copy programming from one of their existing rooms for the 7 new rooms (1 spare port +206E).
They are using single line analog phones which I cannot get to ring...
We have a customer with a Avaya Partner system with a 5 bay back plate, master card and 1 expansion card, I want to add a second expansion card (206E).
I was under the impression these could simply be installed however when I do the first expansion goes offline and the new one does not power...
A client owns an Inn and is expanding, they will need a new phone system.
Currently there are digital phones in 12 rooms (using 1 pair each). It is NOT practical to rewire these to IP.
There is a new building going in which will have 12 phones. The office phones could be rewired if needed.

Customer had a power outage. They have a generator backup but it takes 10 seconds to kick in.
I believe the generator caused a surge so now the Call pilot power supply is producing 13.8 VDC
Is this high enough to cause issues ( I think it is supposed to be 9V)? Call Pilot has stopped working.
I have a BCM50 that the Call Pilot has disappeared from the app. Voicemail is still running and functioning correctly, although I cannot access admin thru the phone or app. The phone does not accept the standard passwords and I tried resetting the PW from the phone with no success. When I try to...

Help. I spent two hours scratching my head. I have a Avaya BCM50 with a CCR tree and 5 paths. I cannot get path 5 to go to ext. 265. It tries then says "the person is not available".

Two questions.
1. How would you describe your work (cabling, troubleshooting, wi-fi cameras etc.)
2. What technical equipment do you use. Testers, laptops etc.
I work for myself as a communications technician doing the following:
Cameras, cabling, AP's, PTP links, low voltage troubleshooting...
Hi,
I have a CICS with 12 phones. 1 NON ringing phone has on hold notification and I can not seem to turn it off. I ended up copying another phone from the same office, which worked until they had a power outage now it is back to beeping.
Any way to turn this off?
I have a customer that wants to record incoming calls for a Nortel CICS phone system. I know they can use a Call Pilot. are they other hardware options you would suggest?
Silly question. How do you change the destination when someone presses "0" on a set. This is NOT voice mail, just a regular set. People in a hotel are pressing "0" instead of the button labeled "front desk" on a M7100 and it goes to the back office. Not something I have ever changed.
Does anyone take apart M series phones in the field? I have a customer that has EXTREEMLY dirty phones. Most are likely filled with dust and grindings from a heavy equipment shop. The 4 phones (M7208 and M7310) have been in the shop for years and the owner is insisting they need to be taken...

During times of shut down like Covid, IT is considered an essential service . Does anyone post signs in your company vehicle when parking downtown? A friend showed me a basic sign he had made and printed out stating they are an essential service "on an Active Call"...
I have a customer with a BCM50 4x? (4x12 or 4x16). They want to add line 5 & 6 which the system cannot do. There is an abandoned BCM50 and 4x16 expansion module onsite (as one set). I manually copied all the set programing over to the new unit.
when I check the phones on the expanded unit it...
I have a BCM50 single box on the wall. I need to know if this can be expanded. I need to know if the system has 1 port authorization keycode enabled. Can I check this from a phone?
