Installing a new lpar that has a local disk on a VIOS that
was created with 'mkvdev -vdev hdisk5 -vadapter vhost6 -dev lpar6_hd5'
but when I run 'lsmap -all' it doesn't have a client partition
id of 6.
When I started my NIM install it said it cannot find any disks. I
expected it to see two...
When I created a new LPAR it was created with partition ID 6,
and a local VIOS disk (hdisk5) was assigned to vhost 6 using
`mkdev -vdev hdisk5 -vadapater vhost6 -dev test_vhd5.
When I run `lsmap -all` on the VIOS it shows the new
device, but for vhost6 it doesn't have a client partition id
of...
I need to create an lpar that will have the rootvg from vio1 and mirrored from vio2. There will also be a few SAN disks attached that will be coming from the vio server because there isn't a dedicated fibre card. How do I this up? thanks.
