Nortel 3x8 set polarity
I've read all the manuals and other forums on this site, but I guess I'm just looking for a little reassurance, lol. When punching down new set (ext.) wires I know it goes TIP to TIP, RING to RING but on the off chance (Not paying attention) I cross TIP to RING will it blow out the phone?? So my...- ksell

Static on all lines (New system)
I purchased the Avaya ACS R6.0 no additional cards just the system, If I connect a standard telephone to the system using the newly installed jack in the house I hear static in the background, if I bypass the jacks and hook a standard telephone non-avaya to any port directly there's not static...- ksell
