MySQL failing to start due to 'mysql.host' doesn't exist

Enabling Ports 6000-6005 Solaris 8 via the shell
Hi I am trying to enable ports 6000-6005 on Solaris 8 to allow an X-Win session, does anybody know the correct syntax for this? I have used: #netstat -a -f inet |grep LISTEN |more to check which ports are currently open and 6000-6005 are closed. Many thanks in advance to anybody who can help. B- bobby76
