I want to create a new name record for our website so that users can type ourdomain.com without "www". Is it me or does Windows' DNS kind of suck for this? Thanks in advance.
We've got one of each and IBM Blade Centers. We've got this "contraption" of a system in production but we're finding the vendor (us as well) just don't know enough yet. We're virtualizing everything using Xen. We're now wondering what our options are for mirroring the data between the NetApp...
Is this possible? I'm moving everything over to a new machine and I'm kind of hung up here. IIS isn't letting me import the existing .cer from the current production machine (even though the request I created should be exactly the same). Must I revoke the one we have now and recreate it @...
So I'm migrating an IIS webserver over to a new machine and trying to test this ODBC connection. On the current production webserver, the resident ODBC driver/connection is used to grab customer data from our iSeries and make it available on the web. When I attempt to hit the website and view...
After reading about MAC security, it looks like I cannot accomplish what I want due to the desired ports being trunks. Anyone had this issue before and what was the work around? Thanks.
Come visit on Stonemaul!!!!!!! (Henda/Sttaph) ;)
I'm transfering a NAT statement from one router to another. I think I have the NAT statement figured out: ip nat inside source static x.x.x.x x.x.x.x
The ACL's I'm always leary of though. The host that is getting moved needs HTTP/HTTPS to travel outside to inside. This interface on the...
Anyone done this? What's the easiest way to go about this? I was hoping that I could create a new VLAN on our Cisco 3560s (using the same subnet but a different mask) & utilize InterVLAN routing until I could get around to changing all the static numbered hosts. I thought I was being slick &...
It's been a long time... I just need help with some basic acl setup. I've managed to setup a one to one NAT in order to pass some FTP from the outside. My issue though is creating an acl set that will pass ftp, allow all traffic back in that originated from the inside & deny everything else.
I'm in a situation where i want to take these settings out but removing the policy from the individual containers doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm having to manually do this per client and I'm not thrilled...there's got to be a trick to get this proxy server setting removed via the server...
I'm I the only one that dislikes CatOS? I have a couple of what should be easy questions for you all:
1. How do I remove a route?
2. Is there an equivalent of IOS' vlan command "ip helper-address X.X.X.X"?
Thanks!
Trying to get around this:
% Configuring IP routing on a LAN subinterface is only allowed if that subinterface is already configured as part of an IEEE 802.10, IEEE 802.1Q,or ISL vLAN.
I'm trying to get around this. What do I need to do?
So we've got this weird TFTP issue with some of our IP connected receipt tape printers. The printers appear to have some auto-config ability that is fed by TFTP. However, this TFTP ability is not configurable and cannot be turned off on the printer side. The printers keep spitting out these...
Where exactly is this configured in Win2k3/DHCP, under Boot Server Host Name?
We've got a ShoreTel deploy coming up and I have to get the DHCP server ready.
Appreciated.
I've got a couple new extensions with mailboxes setup but who knows how many rings it takes to get the damn thing to go to voicemail. Where and how do we adjust the amount of rings required before voicemail kicks in?
much appreciated
I'm trying to upgrade a supervisor module and noticing that the commands are different from the standard IOS commands. Anyone done this before? I started issuing "?" to the command line and came up with "copy tftp flash". Is that all it takes? I'm a bit concerned that I'm not telling the OS...
We're phasing out the server where our webserver is hosted. I'm confident on the migration process up to the migrating the SSL cert from the old to the new machine. Isn't there a .cer file I can just export/import?
Thanks & as always, I'd rather be playing WoW.
;)
