i want to know before i go download BIND if it is already available in a pre-compiled form for apache.
that would be great if it is, not so great if it's not.
if it's not available, a second question...
is the internet systems consortium the best place to download BIND...
so here's the problem
users outside of my home network cannot access my server web pages.
to help you out:
1. Before i installed Zone Alarm i could access my pages from anywhere
2. before Zone Alarm i could remote connect to my server from anywhere
3. now that ZA is installed, neither of these...
after coding quite a bit into one file i have finally decided it would be much easier to edit if i had different classes in multiple files. i know you can do this is C++ because i've coded in that before.

i have been searching for any tutorial for setting up your own mail server, but none so far.
i want to use mozilla thunderbird, and have my current server host the email. does this sound stupuid or does anyone have an idea how to do what i'm talking about?
as of now, i have setup my first server using apache. then i realized that what many websites use for their "online shopping cart" technology is asp, or some other language.
my question is simply this:
does anyone have any advice on a substitute of asp for use on my webpage?
