Another tech performed an upgrade om a BCM50 from r3 to r6. He said everything went ok. However, I can not connect to the Call Pilot via my laptop. I get the following error, "A network problem was encountered. Please check your network settings." Call pilot and vmail are working properly...
I'm trying to connect a Nortel MICS with a Cisco call manager via T1 E&M Wink trunks. The Cisco system uses 4 digit extensions and the MICS uses 3 digit extensions. I am able to call extensions from the Nortel to the Cisco but when a Cisco users try to call the Nortel, they just hear ringing...
Customer has MICS running 5.0. There are 2 DTI cards installed. One is being used as a PRI. The other is configured as a T1 that is not being used. The customer wants to network that MICS with a Cisco switch. I thought that in order to do that the software had to be of the "XC" variety. Is...
I have a BCM400 with 4.0 software and the latest patches. I have 1 ASM 8 port analog station module in the main cabinet. The analog ports will intermittently loose dial tone. Sometimes it comes back on its own and sometimes I have to reset the port. Not all the ports loose dial tone at the...
I've read alot of posts regarding this but nothing that mirrors what I am trying to do. Customer has an IPO rel 9.0 with a UC module. The customer does not have an email server, they are using gmail, however, their email addresses are not myname@gmail.com, they are myname@xyzcompany.com. Some...
I have an IPO 500 that was upgraded to 8.1(69) in early October. I'm not sure if this issue is related to the upgrade because the customer can not give me a good idea of when her issue started.
I have a Hunt Group set up as Collective with 4 members.
Queuing is on.
Overflow is off
Fall back is...
Here's an odd one. I have a customer who has a BCM 400 rel 3.7 at three different locations. All 3 are connected to the network at their location. The only reason they are connected to the network is so he can access each BCM from his office for admin purposes. There are no IP phones and...
I have a BCM400 3.7 with all the latest patches loaded, PRI trunks. I have credit card machines and faxes set up on individual analog extensions. Faxes work fine. I am having issues with credit card machines working correctly. The cc company says it looks like the call is being dropped...
Does anyone know what to do about this? I have BCM400 rel 4.0 all latest patches loaded. Customer has 24 VoIP trunks. When customer uses BCM Monitor, not all of the VoIP trunks are displayed. I know they are all working because I can make calls. Yesterday, VoIP trunks 5-24 were displayed...
I am posting this for a fellow tech. He is installing a BCM450 Rel 6. He wants to use 98 as a line pool code for his copper trunks. The digit 9 is a destination code assigned to route 0 by default. He needs to delete the 9 but he says the bcm does not allow the 9 to be deleted. He is trying...
I am trying to get IP phones i2004e to work on a BCM4.0 (it has the latest patches loaded). I have DHCP turned off, Allow Registration is turned on. I have entered the BCM IP address as S1 and S2 on the i2004e phones. Customer's DHCP server is to assign IP address to phone. Even though I...
Trying to load software patches on BCM400 3.7. Keep getting "insufficient disk space on drive E:" error. I have the 194-OS2 patch loaded still getting error. I have deleted CDR files but those are on drive D. Any suggestions?
I'm not sure what can be deleted off of the drive.
Has anyone had this issue? I run BCM Monitor and it doesn't show the duration of the call on all trunks. I have a PRI, copper trunks, and VoIP trunks and sometimes it shows the duration on incoming but not outgoing calls. All my BCMS have all the latest patches loaded. There is a combination...
I have a bcm400 v4.0 networked via VoIP trunks (can 4-digit dial to get other bcms) with several bcm50's. I'm setting up a Contact Center on the BCM400 and redirecting the copper trunks from the bcm50's to the contact center in the 400.
Question 1: If I dial a DN from one location to another...
I feel really stupid on this one. I am trying to set up a contact center on a bcm400 4.0. I can not get any control dn to be accepted. I know it can not be a number associated with a port on the bcm. What am I doing wrong? Do I just make up a number?
BCM400 with the latest patches (sys update 23) installed. I DISABLED then ENABLED the VoIP trunks but they won't ENABLE. Keycodes are there and active. Can't reboot BCM till after hours. BCM still connected to the network. No changes were made. Telephony and vmail work.
Any suggestions?
Customer has a Coral II v9.89. Two days ago, they started having fax issues to some fax numbers. Nothing has changed in the Tadiran. The PRI comes from Cisco equipment. The Cisco guys tell me that they have not changed anything in their equipment either.
Any ideas?
