I need to preempt this post by explaining that I don't know anything about Norstar systems for the most part, I do not have physical access to the system. Unfortunately it falls to me to sort it out.
The problem was initially reported to me as users being unable (all of a sudden) to access...
Apologies for the vague subject, but since I don't know what's wrong, the best I can do is describe the symptoms.
The 11c at a location I am working on is intermittently experiencing card failures.
It began with the sole Analog card's red light turning on, causing all 500 sets to ring fast...
I would like to take out one of the M7310 sets at one of my locations and replace it with a cordless T7406.
Is this basically hot swappable, or is there any sort of programming that needs to be done to the PBX?
I am not concerned with programming specific buttons on the T7406, as all it needs...
Hello all,
I am wondering if it's possible to make only a single set which has a DID on it show up with a caller ID on outbound calls.
Presently CID only works internally, all outbound calls to customers and the like show up blocked/no cid on their end.
One particular employee has some...
Got a strange one here. The following set has 4 DN's mapped to it, 290, 223, 295, and 296. All but 290 have their own voice mail box (mermail) and different greeting.
223 and 296 both CFNA to their own mailboxes and greetings. 295 however does not. It rolls to an entirely different voice mail...
I should preface this by saying my knowledge of ACD queues and related is limited at best, so I apologize in advance if I'm not making sense.
Scenario: I have an ACD queue with several agents set up in it, but only 3 are active (as we have only 3 people on phones right now.)
Presently, when a...
I am currently trying to find a way to add additional DN's that are not currently in use (this will be for DID's) to the unused keys on my attendant set.
I tried doing a CHG in LD 12:
REQ CHG
TYPE 2250
TN 12 0
SETN 012 0 00 01
ANUM
SSU
ICDR
CPND
LANG
SGRP
AADN
KEY 13 SCR SCH362

Can anyone tell me if CHG NAME in load 95 on a set which is part of an ACD group, is subject to the same corruption problem as making a load 20 change to the set?
I'd have to have to out and rebuild a bunch of sets just to change the display name, but that's preferable to corrupting them...
My PBX is a Meridian 1 option 11c. I have a user who is currently on a 2008, and I need to get him a cordless phone. I do not want to go analog.
I'm considering either a CM-16 or an M7410. Can anyone advise me as to which would be better? Or if there is another model I should consider.
His...
Hi guys,
I need to preface this with a couple things:
1. I know nothing about this model and have never worked with them, I only have experience with Option 11's.
2. The PBX in question is located in our plant in california and I am in Oregon, so I do not have local access and have to relay...
Hi all,
I am normally a meridian option 11c guy, but I've been tasked with moving an M8X24-ds (M12XO) With Star Talk Mini, to a new location.
My question is pretty simple:
What is the proper way to shut it down so it can be disconnected and moved? I am accustomed to terminals where you use a...
Reading this thread: http://tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=286057
I have the same problem. I had to MOV a set from one TN to another due to office changes. It was an ACD set, and according to the thread I posted above, the TN the set Was on is probably now corrupted.
It shows up as a type...
On a 2616 set with a single DN, I'm having a problem where when the person is on the phone, if someone else in the office dials their extension, instead of a busy signal, they get dead silence.
I looked through the manual thinking it was something disabled in CLS but found nothing obvious.
FBA...
Having just replaced the (rather expensive) HD in my mermail system a couple of months ago, I fear it may be fried again.
A rather massive power outage last night took out most of this zip code. Power was restored shortly after. My PBX booted up fine and phones are working, however the mermail...
Our system apparently has a large number of DID's, that correspond to DN's internally, as I understand it.
For example if my phone is DN 150, you could say, dial 855-4150 and get my desk. This is true of most all of our sets, a prefix, then 4, then the DN.
I am uncertain how and where this is...
I have a set we'll call DN 100, if no one picks up a call there, I have it CFNA to a DN 99 at another office. If that set goes unanswered, it doesn't go into voicemail there, rather it says "H601" I assume H = Hunt, which is set to 601, the voicemail DN.
Here's the ticker: it goes like this...
They say brevity is the soul of wit, so I'll try to be brief, and not sound like a lunatic.
I've been tasked with something I'm not sure can even be done, and I have no real idea how to start.
The scenario: 2 geographically seperate offices. 2 pbx's. Merdian mail for both offices is...
Still struggling with the issues I mention in this thread:
http://tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1296874&page=1
Been doing some reading and it was suggested I check my SEERS, sadly I don't know what or where these are.
Something strange going on here. I have a couple of users (only 2 so far) getting various errors while trying to check their mailboxes. Supposedly they're being told their request cannot be completed at this time.
So I go to load up the AX menu to check out their boxes/useage and it gives me a...
It seems like this should be something simple covered in my basic usage guides, but I can't seem to find it.
I want to add RCO 0 to an existing set, and cannot figure out how.
It's a 2008 if that matters. Can provide TN printout of necessary.
Thanks in advance.
