    imported paths from photoshop

    I've cut and deleted most of an imported path in illustrator so I can stroke it as a line, not an inclosed path, but illustrator is still trying to stroke the disconnected points... connect them with the stroke! How do I get it to act like a "point to point" line? Thanks for the help!
