NEC 9500SE tie line to NEC 2400IPX

I am having a lot of difficulties with a specific connection I am trying to establish between two NEC systems and I know you are hugely familiar with this type of connection. I have a new NEC SV9500SE replacing out an NEC 2400IPX and I am trying to set them up to be able to call between...

NEC 2400 IPX Music on hold quality over PRI line.

I have an NEC 2400 IPX with a PRI provided by an AT&T IP Flex connection. Voice quality over the PRI is great, but when we put any calls on the PRI on hold, the music on hold quality is terrible full of static and drop outs. This is incoming or outgoing calls. The music on hold quality is...

    Replacement/Repair HP 2900 Series Switches

HP used to have a lifetime warranty on their switches. Does anyone know if this is still true and if so how to activate it? I have searched the web and HP.com but cannot find any directions. I specifically have an HP 2900-24G J9049A that took a dump in a power outage. While I replaced it...

    Padding (volume) adjustment on PA-8CFTD

I have an NEC NEAX 2400 IMS. Trying to lower volume on the three-way conference calls. This is handled by the PA-8CFTD card. There doesn't seem to be any dip switches on the card and I cannot find any commands in the Command Manual that would seem to do this.

    HP Printer Yields ...

Has anyone else noticed how it seems that every new HP printer that comes out has a worse yield per cost of toner? In going through the page counts on all my printers it seems nothing matches the old 4200 series (or large 4345 MFPs for that matter). I have 50-100 HP printers of various models...

    HP M477 Lifespan

Anyone know what the lifespan of a HP M477 should be? I have one that's 4 years old and about 150,000 copies/prints. Trying to see if it's worth investing in new rollers and maintenance or if I should just get a new one.

    2400 IPX Ghost Station Number

Trying to program a station number into a 2400 IPX. ASDT gives the error message: Station Cannot be Assigned. Double Assignment. DSTN gives the same error message. The station does not appear in the Lens print out. I ran the command to show all appearances of the phone number on any...

    NEC 2400 MMG Issues

Having two issues on a NEC 2400 MMG. Hoping someone out there has some ideas: Both issues are on the NMC paths: NMC 0 - When I have this active the whole system has dialtone but you can't actually dial -- you press numbers but the dialtone just keeps going. NMC 1 - This one works on all my...

How to increase default volume on NEC Dterm Series E phone/2400 IPX

I have a DTerm Series E phone which has an handset earpiece default volume setting that is too low and I need to increase it. I can increase it using the volume button to an acceptable level but after each phone call it resets to the original level which is too quiet. I am using an NEC 2400...

    Outdoor cable splice

I have a 25 pair telephone cable that got dug up and ripped by a contractor with a bulldozer. I need to splice these back together as I cannot pull new ones through that conduit. I have enough slack to get the ends together. I am going to drop in a miniature concrete vault right there but it...

NEC ND4E Digital Channel Bank not working

I have a NEC ND4E Digital Channel Bank which is set up between my PBX and a microwave tie line. I recently moved it's location and redid all the wiring as part of this, but carefully traced everything so it was re-wired exactly the same way. HOWEVER it doesn't work any more and every phone...

    Phaser 8400 dp digital smear

I have a phaser 8400 which has done about 50,000 prints. I have started getting more and more frequent smears where almost every page (and all text/pictures) are smeared. But if you look closely, it is pixels smearing and not the ink! It varies in amount and is not just when I print, but the...
