How can I redirect a file location without changing it in
the registry.
I want to put my favorites for Internet Explorer on a flash
drive and be able to go to any computer with XP and use
my favorites on my flash drive.
I tried using subst command but I can only redirect a folder
to a drive not...
Does anyone know how to make any brand flash drive (thumb/jump drive) work with Windows 95C.
I've tried several brands with the Win 98 drivers, but, as
I expected, they would work.

I've tried to edit the registry to turn the caps lock on
when the computer boots by going to HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT\CONTROL PANEL\KEYBOARD and then changing the initialkeyboardindicators to 3 (or 7) and exit.
Everytime I reboot the computer it changes the setting back to 2.
How can I turn the Caps...

window size and location and then close the window, the settings are lost. When I open it again, back to the
original settings.

I keep getting IE 6.0 "Script Error" messages.
I disabled that box in advanced settings, but I still get

I used Acronis True Image 8.0 to make a cloned backup of
my C: drive onto my second hard drive D:
I thought when I rebooted the Bios settings should recognize
that there were 2 drives with Windows XP prof. and ask
me which one I wanted to boot from...instead went ahead
and booted from the C...
When I setup a folder "view options" such as
icons instead of details, auto arrange "un checked" and
everything views as I selected.

How would I use xcopy to exclude all .bak files in a

I was in my folder that I wanted to copy.
I wanted to copy all the the files in my folder
C:\Data (except the .bak files) to another Folder C:\Backup
I tried this:
C:\Data>Xcopy *.* C:\Backup /h/r/exclude:*.bak
but it still copied...
I am a new user of XP and I'm trying to turn on the
cap lock key when I start up XP.
In W98 you could just put the command "CapsOn" in the
autoexec.bat file...how can you do this with XP?
