OK guys, I'm going to reopen a question from another member, from earlier in the year...

Two questions on Windows 2000 server routing tables!
1] When a workstation connects from a remote...
Hi folks,
There's a big star for anyone who can help with this one.
We have 12 IBM BladeCenter chassis. All are 8677 variants.
Each chassis is fully loaded with blades, modules and power supplies.
Each power domain (two PSUs) in each chassis is connected to a different distribution block in...
We are currently upgrading our estate to Windows 2003, and some of the servers we don't want to leave behind include our EVA Management Appliances.
HP always tell you not to mess about with the OS on their Management Appliances, but we all know that it is basically a Win 2000 Advanced Server...

Hi
We've just upgrade our Director 4.22 to 5.10, and since doing so, we can no longer connect through the console. All we get is the good old error, "An I/O error occurred while connecting to the IBM Director Server".
Has anybody had a similar problem when doing the upgrade?
Thanks
Chris
I believe it's not possible to rename a cluster node, so is the only workaround having to remove the node, format and rename it, then add it back to the cluster?
We have recently changed our naming convention, and need to rename all of our cluster nodes as part of the change. All of our...
Hi
We have several two-node active/passive clusters, which all run Windows 2000 Advanced Server (SP4).
Each cluster hosts a SQL 2000 (SP3) instance for each of our "products".
We are planning an upgrade for all of our servers, to Windows 2003, which will include the clustered servers.
I have...
OK, been using this IP Office forum for a while now, and I've had some help and given some help. Heck I've even gone for it and given and taken votes :-)
So why don't my replies show up in "My Info" unless you click on the big fat zero? And why don't Tek-Tips want to answer me when I ask them...
This may seem a silly question, but here goes.
I am wondering if a Small Office Edition which is bought in the US (without trunk cards) will work in the UK, and likewise would a UK model work in the US.
I know that the likes of a 403, 406 and 412 come in A-Law and MU-Law versions, but IP...
Hi Guys,
Just fixed an issue which has been bugging the hell out of us for weeks.
In CCV, there is a feature which allows you to change the state of an agent. It allows you to force login and logout, as well as force to Busy WU or Busy NA.
On a V3 IPO with V5 CCC, the force logoff does not...
I know, I know, it's not meant to be done!!
However, I have tried it and seems to work great.
Our client has 288Kbps upstream, 512kpbs down at one remote site. Now, G711 should use about 80-90Kbps as far as I know, whereas the usual WAN codec (G729a) uses about 20-30Kbps, right?
This ADSL...
Hi Guys,
Got an IP403 which I have been trying to setup Extn billing on. Turns out the LCR Carrier is so bad that the usual shortcodes don't work.
Instead, I have had to do the following:
SC: 9
TN: 1666DE
FT: Dial
As you can see, there is no N or ? or . being used. The second I use a...
This may be helpful, or it maybe carrier specific but here goes.
Just had one of my engineers onsite setting up Extn Billing on an IP403.
It would not work on firmware V3 with their carrier (although manually dialing would work fine).
I told our guy to roll the firmware back to 2.1 (35) and...
We have a client with a 403 who wants to setup Extn Billing using their LCR carrier - SkyBlue (UK).
The code is 1666, so I would expect to enter a shortcode as follows:
SC: ?
Tel No: 1666DE.
Feature: Dial
Or
Tel No: 1666,E.
Also tried
Tel No: 1666YE.
None of these codes...
I have a client who sells four different brands. They have a DDI for each brand and announce the calls depending on the brand.
In order for agents to know which brand the calls is for, we have a hunt group for each brand. This group is then displayed on the phone and Phone Manager.
My client...
Hi folks,
We have an IP406 (1st edition) which is allowing us to dial ANY number - even 12345. The system presents a ring tone to the caller.
This only happens when we run V3 firmware (any version including Beta). Rolled it back to V2 and it works fine.
My disti has raised a case with Avaya...
Hi folks,
Just been trying to fix an IP406 (first model) which has a really frustrating issue.
The unit runs on PRI E1 (two PRI cards). When on version 2.1 (35) everything operates as normal. When it is on ANY version of 3 including beta 58, outgoing calls to ANY number provide a ringtone. For...
I had a customer with a 406 (first model) and they were having lots of problems since upgrading from V2 to V3.
We had POTS units which were doing very funny things and were cutting callers off, as well as lots of other odd behaviour. These had been flashed with V3 build 40, 44 and 58 beta, all...
Hi Guys,
I have a client with an IP406 (first version) and since we moved them to v3 we've had lots of problems.
Firstly, when calling ANY number, you get a ring tone. For example, if you phone a telephone number which is out of service, or even if you call 123456, it proceeds to act like it's...
