It's possible provided you use a control such as wshNonModalDialog or wshDialog. Both of these are easy to find in a Google search and have examples. For listboxes I'd look at wshDialog first
The error is occuring at compile of the script before it executes. Because of this there is no error level or exit code to return.
Keep using OPTION EXPLICIT. It's good practice to declare before using.

With Windows Script Host 5.6 or better use the Exec method which allows you to catch the stdout and stderr streams.
I find this works better than Run.
