    Excel *Wildcard* Question

Tried to bump this old thread thread68-679182 but it is now closed...only 5 years old :) Is it possible to use the wildcard in an IF formula? For instance, I have a spreadsheet with text and numbers in the cells, the number of characters varies in the cells so a left, right or mid is out. I...

    SUMPRODUCT or ARRAY Formula

Thanks Skip. Column N had just had the number 1 in it. And the formula was summing the amount of occurrences in between the dates regardless of store number (and still is). When I enter in the corresponding store numbers in column N, I am getting some very large numbers. The set up of the...

Vlookup function in excel not working! It's driving me crazy!

I think that function just displays the actual formulas in the cells and not just the formula bar...but am not sure.

Vlookup function in excel not working! It's driving me crazy!

Oh, I did not read the entire post. Hit Ctrl + the "tilde" key to the left of the 1 key.

Vlookup function in excel not working! It's driving me crazy!

Is your lookup value a number? Multiply D7 by one and see if that helps.

    Alternative to Pivot Tables?

Thank you all for the tips. I may try the sumproduct function... Right now I have created a unigue identifier with the concatenate function using the store&date&sku as well as using the rank formula with each sku.

    Alternative to Pivot Tables?

No real issue with pivots myself, I was just wondering if I could use the choose formula with a lookup or something like that. VBA is out for me since I am not at that level.

    Alternative to Pivot Tables?

I guess I am just looking for suggestions of another way to approach this than using a pivot table. Ideally, I want to set up one sheet that will pull the worst variances by the sku column.

    Alternative to Pivot Tables?

I have a list where the unique identifying number repeats several times because of multiple items (different sku numbers). This data also contains an inventory column, sku count column, and variance column. Other than a pivot table, is there another way where I could rank the variance of each...

    Access Count function Question

It was Number but I changed it to Text. Now when I try and change it back to Number and save I get a Not enough disk space or memory error so it is stuck at text. I am a nightmare, I know.

    Access Count function Question

Now if I do this: SELECT ByTran.CDay, ByTran.Sales FROM ByTran GROUP BY ByTran.CDay, ByTran.Sales HAVING (((ByTran.Sales)>"50")); it returns all records over 50 which I could throw into Excel and a Pivot table but I am looking to get it all through Access.
