I am still searching for an answer, I am trying to VPN to one of my clients microsoft 2000 server running VPN across a Private address.
What the error is:
error 721: from Microsoft, I found error 721 is linking back to GRE and that PPTP needs to ride on the gre protocol...

This is what I found that worked, which you probably already know but I have not experienced anything like it before.
1. I had 27 addresses that were not being used at all, anywhere on the DHCP Server.
The fix that is working...
I have a Windows 2k Server Reporting:
All 50 addresses in pool are currently in use when in fact I only have 28 nodes at that location.
What I have done so far:
1. Cleared the DHCP Pool
2. Stopped and restarted DHCP Services.
3. Verified that in fact I only had 23 Addresses Leased.
4...
Maybe the first two lines of ACL 101 needs to be relooked at?
access-list 101 deny udp host 205.xxx.xxx.3 eq domain any
access-list 101 deny udp host 205.xxx.xxx.2 eq domain any
