I would like to delay writing to the database until after a confirmation button is clicked on in the data entry form. Because if the data entry form is simply opened then a record is created and it is, in this situation, an empty record.

I want to make a combo box that allows you to type manually or select from what was typed in before. So that the list of choices comes from entries already in the database for the same field. Can this be done? In combo boxes can't you have a pulldown or type in the entry?
Thanks VBslammer for the response. But I'm still not clear. Is the query you're referring to in the properties of the control on the form? Or in the query itself? Either way I don't see the boundcolumn and columnwidth properties. How do you edit the properties of the query fields?
