    Large mouse pointers

Oh, OK. I guess I'll have to manage with the existing solution, it's not so bad at a distance ;) Thanks for the help, anyhow.
  2. Overlord44

    Large mouse pointers

OK, so how would I do that?
  3. Overlord44

    Large mouse pointers

OK, FormName_MouseMove does it but the effort it's having to put into constantly refreshing it every time the mouse moves makes a horrible effect =( There a better way than this, or is the only option?
  4. Overlord44

    Large mouse pointers

Hah, OK, it can be done. I set it to an onLoad event, and it disappears straight away, though - how do I get it to stick until the app loses focus/is closed?

    Large mouse pointers

For the record (gaaah, sorry again for this), if I try to apply the cursor under XP, not in the program, it's in colour, but is still stuck at 32x32 despite Axalis having it open right now as a 72x72 icon.

    Large mouse pointers

...and a black & white one at that (sorry for triple post)

    Large mouse pointers

This is in Axialis AX-Cursors 4.5, by the way. I just tried again, this time with the maximum size cursor it'll create without going into custom. No matter what I try, VB displays it out as a 32x32 icon...

    Large mouse pointers

They aren't? I've tried creating a 128x128 icon and under one circumstance it didn't apply, and in the other it was down-sized to become a 32x32 icon...

    Large mouse pointers

I have an application I'm developing in Visual Basic 6 that is able to be controlled some distance away from a PC with a wireless mouse. I have made an interface that can be used from a short distance from a PC for the most part without any problems (increasing text size and whatnot), with one...

PC doesn't post all of a sudden - no monitor output, no beeps

OK, we got a replacement machine. Turns out the CPU is fried. Thansk for the assistance.

PC doesn't post all of a sudden - no monitor output, no beeps

It isn't a Windows driver issue. The machine isn't even POSTing. The other PSU works just fine, yes. I'm thinking it is the CPU or the mobo - the CPU especially seems to have gotten very hot. Could be this room was warmer than the usual place it's in and that finally fried it...

PC doesn't post all of a sudden - no monitor output, no beeps

My booting the machine for the last 30 test or so has just been the PC, lol. And I have tested the RAM sticks individually, as I said in my last post. I think we can eliminate the PSU though, I have a different one in the machine now and it still isn't working. I also tried removing all the...

PC doesn't post all of a sudden - no monitor output, no beeps

No physical changes were made to the PC at ALL, this is the oddest part. I've reseated everything short of the CPU heatsink, as I have no thermal paste to put it back again with, but I don't see how that could be a problem as it hasn't been touched... I've also checked all the connections, they...

PC doesn't post all of a sudden - no monitor output, no beeps

I've been fixing up a PC for my grandfather - setting internet settings right, getting printer set up, etc. I'd just finished, and decided to restart the machine to make sure all of my settings had taken to OK. On restart, the machine got half way through the process, did a BSOD and...

    USB 2 External HDD Woes

...I don't understand it. I tried pluggin it in on my 1.1 Hub, and it works, but rfecommends putting it in on a 2.0 Hub. Now, all of a sudden, the thing is working again! I'm mystified, but happy. Thanks everyone, I dunno what you did but it's fixed! =D

    USB 2 External HDD Woes

...OK, this is odd. I dug out my driver CD - and this is the instructions it gives for XP: 1.First,you must install Windows XP SERVICE PACK 1 2.Right-click "My Computer" icon, select "Properties". 3.Select the "Hardware" tab, and click the "Device Manager" button. 4.Right-click on the...

    USB 2 External HDD Woes

OK, looked though them. I don't have SP2 or a USB printer, so it isn't anything to do with those. Autoplay is never invoked as it registers as a harddrive once active, and is used to work under SP1 - what this machine has always been. I'm beginning to think that it's a drivers issue despite the...

    USB 2 External HDD Woes

Yes, it used to work 100% OK on this system, for like 4 or 5 months before the initial trigger crash. Linney - ouch, that's a lot of articles. ;) I'll give them a read through now and see if any could be it.

    USB 2 External HDD Woes

Oh, and i don't have another ext HDD to test on this PC, sadly.

    USB 2 External HDD Woes

It's nothing to do with boot settings. If i startup the PC without it plugged in, all is fine - until the moment I actually DO plug in the device. Then everything freezes up. I've tried multiple USB ports. No luck. Also, there's no stop screen - just all sound stops, the keyboard & mouse lock...
