After removing the cmos battery, my thinkpad asks for a supervisory or power up password before booting. I opened it up, and there are no jumpers to reset the password, neither is there a security chip. I already tried several backdoor passwords for its phoenix bios. Nothing works. Would...
I played around with a Thinkpad T21 2647-8AG and removed the back up battery. Now the Bios requests a password. Why does it ask for a password and what to do against it ?
