    I have the same problem, yet it started when I had not recently installed programs........ I was just moving unimportant files around on my desktop.

    PC Doesn't turn on with Power Button

    Most likley the computer is set to a sleep when you hit the power button. Hold it down for maybe ten seconds and see if it shuts off.
