    Boot windows 2000

    When I boot my computer (win 2k 128 mgs ram, daul hdd's , cdrw, 400 mhz cpu) it POSTs and then updates, and then displays a string of character about 10 digits long that includes smiley faces and lines and begins with ZX[Y. WHen i press any key, it reproduces the message any help?

    oh, ive got the jumper settings on my maxtor 7080 AT. i have the full specs. for a single drive the settings are J19 and J20 short. I'm about to try it.

    Yea on new drives, master is also hte single drive jumper setting, so you should just be able to set the new drive to slave and plug in the power and ide ad then boot. Shouldnt be any trouble at all. If you want a step by step, my aim screename is Jackiechan311
