The subselect query is getting the max routid for the each reference of MasterID in the routing table; that's what the Group By is for. I want a single RoutID for each MasterID. The MasterID is the FK in the routing table; it's the PK in the MASTER table.

You can turn off the warnings by using the following:
DoCmd.SetWarnings False
If you want to turn them back on after all queries have been run type:
DoCmd.SetWarnings True

Thanks for your reply. I got it to work, but without using the vResults=Call basSelectCriteria.selectCriteria(ctl). This would not work for me. I simply declared a global variable. Thanks.
