Actually we are in the process of testing the power off. The BDC is taking care of DHCP. Once we clear that off and move that service to another system we are going to down the BDC and test. I have been told that before I arrived, the BDC went down and no one could log in.

Occasionaly users will get a message saying that a domain controler could not be found or would not answer. When we reboot our BDC everyone can log in fine. I can not seem to figure out why our PDC does not respond when the BDC hangs?
For some reason, users loging in to our domain are being authenticated on the BDC instead of the PDC. Some have said this is okay but that is crap. Does anyone know how to ensure that authentication takes place on the PDC instead of the BDC?

For the love of all things sacred! Can someone suggest a software for Windows 98 that will restrict users from messing with network settings, drivers, installed softare - everything but the power cord if it is out there!! Vendors we work with have restricted us from upgrading to NT or 2000.

My exchange server used to be configured to locate recipients when the first name was typed in, the last name, or the smtp address. After setting up the new server this is not configured. Can someone help me with where to go in Exchange Administrator to configure this search options...
