No it's nothing that you are doing wrong. If you are using CF 4.5 it has a serious memory leak problem. If you look on the allaire site's forum you will get a better idea of what I'm talking about. If you put a CFLOCK around you CFINDEX it might help.
I have figured out that you can do this in CF4.5. It is not efficient but it works. You first use a cfsearch then us cfdirectory to get the date last modified and file size. If anyone is intersted in the code let me know.

You can uncomment code in this file to add features to your collection. ONe of which is date modified. Does anyone know how to set up the style files in order to be able to index a files modified date in your collection and then how to search upon that index?
IS there a way to enter something in the extension text box that will index all file types supported by Cold Fusion 4.5 with out having to type them all in. I know .* doesn't work and I know that *. returns files with no extensions. Does anyone know anything about this?
