Try disabling the "scan on demand" (it's not called that) feature of Norton, the one that scans files as programs/processes access them. I've found that to be a major contributor to slow file transfers/accesses.
There's very little to do on the client side, apart from set up a site on SecureRemote / SecureClient with the correct IP and credentials.
If you are a novice user, I would suggest consulting your provider of CP for technical assistance.
make sure that your peer names / node names match EXACTLY at either end.
Smokescreens don't like seeing different names at either end of the config - even when it's smokescreen to smokescreen!
ASFAIK, Services will only be included as "any" if they're marked to be included as "any".
So choosing "any" as a Service won't necessarily include all TCP/UDP ports as one might expect.
