In addition to daronwilsons reply, if there is a modular plug in the interface for testing, unplug it and look at the copper pins inside and out. If it looks green or if it looks smoked there is a chance its trying to go open. 9 times out of ten, the tel. repair man won't hear it on the lugs he... -
Good cable pulling/pushing tool?
In certain situations, Iv'e found the Tel-O-Pole to be very useful. It's also perfect for attics, crawlspaces or anywhere you can see your wire, but physically cannot get to it. Its telescopic with hook on the end. check them out at http://www.hfgp.com/index.html Hope this is useful.. -
a wierd shutdown problem
Go to Start, then Run, type "msconfig" and click the Startup Tab. If you see GMT or Gator at all, let me know.- Treedoc
