Hi, FWIW, I restarted the computer (I'd restarted twice b4 w/no joy) and suddenly things are back to normal. I guess the 3rd time's a charm. So I'm in great shape unless I ever have to reboot again! PP

Thanks intelwizrd. I tried disabling my internet connection but in my case it didn't help. I don't think your fix works in my case. My network comm rate is hugging zero when I'm not explicitly accessing the net. Thanks again, PP
