Will Visual dBase 5.5 run OK on Windows XP?
I have native and complied code running on Win95, Win98SE, WinNT4.0, Win2000Pro, WinXpPro - no problems. The ONLY anomaly I've found is with long file names. Windows handled long file names with a different approach post Win98SE. The workaround for Visual dBase 5.5 and 5.6 is to keep your file...- DBACAN

Mike, I had similar problems with run() but have found a solution (BTW I'm running Visual dBase 5.7 in Windows 2000) if I wanted to run a DIR of c: from within dbase: run(.t.,"c:\winnt\System32\cmd.exe /c dir c:\") if I wanted to redirect I/O to a text file...- DBACAN
