    I have find the solution. The nscd daemon was the problem. It's a ldap/nis/... caching daemon. When I stop this service smbldap-usermod is working.

    I installed/configured openldap (2.3.27) and samba (3.0.28) on CentOS5.2 At the moment I have problems with smbldap-tools (0.9.2). I can create "users smbldap-useradd -a -m user1" The user can connect to the shares and can do a ssh. But if I do for example "smbldap-usermod -s /bin/false user1"...
