Laptop power light ok, but not running
Remove the battery and try booting with just the AC power cord attached. If no go, then try just the battery. If no go, remove ram (careful with this as some laptops require ram to be inserted before a "power on" can be obtained), hdd, cdrom/floppy, battery, and any pcmcia cards...- mridle

System Freeze
Interesting issue. Are you running a particular program or even particular game when the lockup occurs, or can you let the system sit, minus power standby of course, and it still locks up? I've seen many issues with nvidia chipsets and their "parent" company drivers...especially PNY. A...- mridle
