    Trouble accessing Cisco 2600

    I have inherited a Cisco 2600 router. I have the console cable connection and am using Hyper terminal to access the router in order to look up configuration, IOS version etc. when I connect nothing happens. No text or anything. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks, Scott
