Update:
I took the laptop to a domain admin and he was able to join the computer to the domain. It appears that even though I have rights to join to a domain, in XP, that doesn't mean it will work in Win7. Is there another permission that needs to be granted for a non-domain admin to be able to...
More info:
1. I'm using Windows 7 RTM
2. The error occurs with any computer name (including very short)
3. I can join an XP workstation to the domain just fine (just unjoined and joined my desktop station to verify) so credentials/permissions seem to be OK.
4. Provided links have either been...
...I admit that I have muddied the waters somewhat as another error I was receiving told me that the SRV record for my DC was not available in DNS*, but essentially I did the following:
Ensured that the problem was due to local rights by entering an intentionally incorrect domain administrator...
Hi Freestone,
Removing 'mylaptop' was already tried (item #7).
I tried to join with another computer name with the same results. I think it may be related to Win 7.
Any other thoughts?

Thanks,
Hi,
Is there a way for Visio to import data from a MS Excel Web Query (.iqy) source? I can go from .iqy --> .xls --> Visio Gantt, but I'm trying to cut out a step.
Thanks,

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for the fast answer. However, the code:
DTSDestination("bmt_dt_sys_datetime") = "20031107 22:10:23.100"
creates an "invalid data value" error. That has been my problem.
Thanks for any hints.
