I run Server 2 K. Since I started active directory there is no icon on desktop to let me know that there are some outside clients online via VPN or RAS.
I cannot find anyplace to switch this on?
any ideas please/
Installed on W2K server and could npot get RAS to start again.
Disabled RAS and reinstalled SP3.
RAS worked fine after that!. No other appearent problems now.

I run W2kserver SP3. recently when I reboot RAS does not start automatically. When I try to start manually it refuses, message re internal error.
How do I force RAS to start please?
Installed SP3 on W2k server running Terminal Services stopped during last leg of installation, left for a few hours nothing happened, stopped installation within task manager, re-booted everything seems ok??
SP3 shows as installed everywhere it should??
I did not mention in my first posting that we do not operate a Domain but a workgroup, we do not operate "active directory" also. Is Active Directory worth having? We hear that many setup problems with this.
Have checked out most of the connection etc settings al seem fine??.
I have win2K network, desktop also w2K.
On my machine only (the problem transferred to new machine yesterday!)the Server disks have a red cross on them when looked at in winexplorer yet they are all accessible without any appearent problems?
