I have an unusally high load on a SunOS 5.8 system. It is running and ORACLE 5.1.5 database. What is the best way to determine what is causing this? Also does any one know what the process "fsflush" is?
Thanks
i entered ctrl-C and got option for root password for system maintenace. i will now undo my DNS changes. Hope nobody else gets into a postion to need this info.
I have over improved the DNS service and now the reboot hangs after:
"starting rpc services: rpcbind keyserv rpc.nisd ypbind done."
Is there a way to force a single user state boot from a powered down box. The default is state 3.
Sun OS 5.8 - sparc - sun4u
