Cisco LRE is a bit expensive; but if you mentioned it, then fibre can't be that bad of an option.
However, check out BlackBox then have tonnes of "things" that will push ethernet a little bit farther.
Mind you a couple of wireless nics ($100 each) and you could be set.

From your original post, I believe that your interfaces are configured as:
Netgear:
- eth0: ip addr 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
Western:
- fa0: ip addr 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0
- s0: ip addr 192.168.2.2 255.255.255.255
Augustine:
- fa0: ip addr 192.168.2.2 255.255.255.0
- s0: ip...
Small point, but is your router routing? I don't see a routing protocol, so I hope you used the IP ROUTE command while in conf t.
