I decided it best to use a local .nsr directive file. It contains these directives:
+skip: */Temporary Internet Files/*
+skip: */RECYCLE/*
+skip: */Cache/* */cache/*
+skip: *.tmp
However, I still get files such as this backed up:
/vol/vol1/userid/goldlk/Docs & Settings/userid/Local...
Sorry if this is a double post. My first attempt seemd to have failed.
I have a question about directives: How might I be able to 'skip' everything in directories, where the directory name contains the word 'Temporary'. For example, I'd like to skip things like this...
That's what I suspected -- Thanks for the confirmation. I am running NW 6.1.3. Last I checked, NW 7 was not avail. for Solaris. Will check again today.
I have a Networker server on a Solaris box, controlling backups on a NetApp filer. The filer has an attached tape library (NDMP tape server). I have been unable to create a clone of NDMP volumes. Here's what I get:
Automatically copying save sets(s) to other volume(s)
Starting cloning...
When mminfo reports a <1> or <2> for a save set, what does that mean? E.g.
1047693615 tape.219 03/14/03 18:00:15 37 GB full 03/13/05
04/11/03 <2>/saveset
1047693614 tape.219 03/14/03 18:00:14 37 GB full 03/13/05
04/11/03 <1>/saveset
