Dbase IV - reindex command

MiggyD mant thanks for the tip, I tried running "pack" - but got the same message again as soon as dbase started to reindex. I have tried running three separate "index on < > tag <tagname>" commands, with a close index in between each command. get the same message, sometimes...- SimonR

I have inhertied a dbase IV program, on the whole well written with with a couple of bugs, one of which is getting to me !! The programmer had (sensibly) set up a menu option to reindex the mdx file. But it crashed with "file already open" I tried running the reindex file from the dot...- SimonR
