Hey thanx for the 411 on this. I've beens seeing this w/ more regularity lately (obviously due to the increased auto updates to 6.X) and just didn't have the time to find the resolution. This article is good to know thanx again. :)- Locum

"LiveUpdate" no longer runs successfully
CharlesEmmons makes a good point about a firewall. Also make sure you are not behind a NAT (a problem for alot of gamers) and if you are you may have to open a port to allow live update to connect. Assuming that your subscription for deffinitions are up to date and you have access to the web...- Locum

Disabling NAV ? - bad idea
I have been seeing an obscene amount of business users that access Databases (i.e. Peachtree, Made2Manage, MSS90 etc...) that have been told by Database administrators and various programers to Disable NAV while running these programs. This is very dangerous to your pc, others on the network...- Locum

Removing NAV to reinstall
Yes, MIKEFLorida is on the money. I have used the Rnav utility several times to remove remnints from the registry. It is especialy useful when upgrading from NAV Antivirus 200x to Systemworks 200x. Incomplete uninstalls may be a result of the Nprotect, NAVagent and other Symantec progs...- Locum
