Bob,
Thanks for the suggestion on using dynamic SQL. After a bit of playing with delimiters, I got the sp to work just the way I wanted. The final result is as follows:
CREATE PROCEDURE CRITERIA_DATABIND_SORT
(
@sortfield varchar(50)
)
AS
Declare @SQLselect varchar(5000)
Select @SQLselect =...
I have a stored procedure that unions four select statements together. It works as expected. The problem is that I want to also be able to do a dynamic order by using the case statement. When I check the syntax on the stored procedure it get the following error: ERROR 104: ORDER BY items...
MasterRacker,
I totally agree. I do 98% of my development work in VS.NET. Most of the sites I work on are .NET ones so it's the only thing that makes sense to use. Besides that, I think it's a great product. I use 1st Page as a into to web design/HTML teaching tool and when I have a small...

My personal favorite free HTML editor is EvrSoft's 1st Page 2000. (http://www.evrsoft.com/). It has tremendous power and flexibility and can run in various modes from easy to hardcore depending on your skill level. I highly recommend it.

I am looking for a way to easily break multi-Map FrameMaker documents into individual documents containing only one Map each. This capability will make it easier to publish individual Maps as separate Web pages, and provides the potential to take an existing document, chunk it and store the...
I have started using the System.Drawing namespace and the GDI+ class to create on the fly charts in .NET. While there is some very good examples on the 'net, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a book that does a good job covering this subject. Thanks.

As part of my Try... Catch.. error handling logic on a webform I would like to call a JavaScript function to popup an alert box. Any help or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any way to print the bookmarks in a PDF document from Adobe Acrobat. I understand that there is a batch process tht can be install to convert the bookmarks to MSWord (which could be printed) but I was wondering if this can be done straight from Acrobat. Thanks in advance. Rip
