Hi Paul, thanks for your reply.
Yes, I suppose that the problem was occuring on all computers running Offix XP (as oposed to those running Office 2003). I only tried 3 of them though.
I have now created a backup copy of the user's profile and created a new profile for him. Outlook is now...
Hi,
I have got a strange problem with Microsoft Outlook XP. For one of the users it keeps brining up the activation wizard on startup saying that it has detected a significant change in the computer configuration.
This only happens if a particular users logs on and it happens on at least 3...
What you could do is create a function in the report's VBA module which would take the two fields as parameters.
public function fnRetirementEligibilityDate(byval bithDate as date,byval hireDate as date) as date
'... do your calculations here
fnRetirementEligibilityDate = dtResult
end function...
The calculation of the number of the TOP records must be part of the VBA code, not the SQL statement:
strSQL = "SELECT TOP " & cint(Me.cmb_Procent/10) & " tblTemp.* " & _
"INTO " & strTableName & " " & _
"FROM tblTemp " & _
"ORDER BY tblTemp.RandomNumber;"
It might be easier to set the Filter property rather than the recourdsource:
Me.Filter = sql
You would ommit the line
sql = "SELECT * FROM [Incident Report Merged Table]"
To debug the code, try printing the SQL string in the immediate window:
debug.Print sql
Hi,
OK, I have tried it myself and I think that you won't be able to do what you are to trying achieve without using some code.
After putting in some code, I managed to get it all working the way you describe. If you want, you can download my test db here...
Yes, I think that you are right about that it is not possible to configure the shared fax server to print outgoing faxes automatically.
While I don't know about software which would map a printer queue to a directory, I think that it shouldn't be too difficult to write a small program/script...
Hi,
I think that it shouldn't be too difficult now to construct the desired queries.
Here is the one listing the values which have been entered for a given customer:
SELECT tblAnalysisCategories.CategoryID, tblAnalysisCategories.Name
FROM tblAnalysisValues INNER JOIN tblAnalysisCategories ON...
Hi,
I am not totally sure that I know what you are trying to achieve but here is something I figure could work:
SELECT tblAnalysisTypes.AnalysisValueID, tblAnalysisTypes.AnalysisType
FROM tblAnalysis RIGHT JOIN tblAnalysisTypes ON (tblAnalysis.Category = tblAnalysisTypes.AnalysisValueID AND...
You are not limited to the drop down list of the sorting and grouping combo box, you can enter the expression performing the calculation in the same way as you would enter it in the data source field of a control:
=your_expression_goes_here
You could also consider adding the calculated field...
I think that you shouldn't have converted it to a dynamic disk. If you hadn't, you could have used some of the partitioning tools mentioned in the article for which I provided a link above.
I think that most (if not all) of the partitioning programs don't support dynamic disks and volumes.
One...
Actually, just realised that if you want to assign a drive letter to a folder, the folder doesn't even need to be shared. You can use the subst command:
subst x: %systemdrive%\folderpath
I don't think that you will be able to see computers on other subnets at all because browsing rellies on broadcasts which won't get accross subnet boundaries.
Even if your PCs were in a domain, you would need to set up a domain master browser and master browsers for all the subnets.
You will...
We have been using the Shared fax component of SBS 2003. We have an AVM ISDN
card installed in the server (the B1 PCI card) for which we installed
the telephony provider from AVM.
It seemed to have been working fine till about two weeks ago when people
started calling us back saying that...
Hi,
would anybody know whether there is any way of installing a 5.5 server to run along an existing Exchange 2003 server? There are lots of articles describing how to join a 2003 server to an existing 5.5 site but nothing which would describe how to install a 5.5 server in an organisation with...
