Computer Boots Up In DOS Only
Have U checked your autoexec.bat file yet, see whats in there and if you notice something that shouldn't be there take it out. If that doesn't work I would type in at the c:\ prompt "fdisk /mbr". that should work. What do you guys think, would that do anything. Don't Be afraid to...- PCmaxQ

CPU/Motherboard Suggestions?
How much are you willing to spend? I would go with an Athlon 1Ghz and get the ECS K7VZA for $121.00, this is the same kind I have and it works great. Modem problems Win98 cant find my Modem
If this is an On-Board modem, make sure you have it enabled in the BIOS and check the Device Manager to see if it shows up and if it does make sure you have the newest driver installed for it.
