    LIST BOX BEHAVIOUR

Hi Olaf and Mike, First of all thank you for your (helpful) replay. Sorry for my inappropriate identification of the control I’m using. It is really a Combo Box not a List Box I will reconsider my decision of using Combo Box and consider the possibility to switch to a List Box Regards Ildegardo.

    LIST BOX BEHAVIOUR

Hi all, I’m scrolling trough the different records of a file using a List Box linked to a field of this file. The List Box has the following settings: - style = 2 - rowsourcetype = 2 - rowsource = “TOOLS.tool_ID” (being TOOLS the alias of the file, tools_ID the name of the field which content I...

Sorry. I continue replay because I understand that many of you are interested in knowing more about “my troubles”. But, and I’m sorry for that, this is my last replay, because I cannot say anything else and I'm specially intended to show that, sometimes, to detail the “environment” of a problem...

Sorry for not having been able to react till now. The last 2 days I was not here and therefore I’m able to replay only today. Please understand this message addressed to all people who has replied. First: My first reaction was due to the fact that I saw at the end of one replay to my question...

    <CANCEL> or <SUSPEND> buttons

I cannot really understand why the only answer people are able to give to my question is a comment on the time some routine lasts to complete its job. I’m not prepared to explain why I’m facing this situation. But everyone might imagine that in front of such condition I spend a lot of time in...

    <CANCEL> or <SUSPEND> buttons

Mike, I do not understand if the second portion of your response to my post (the first portion I do not even consider) should be intended as a criticism. If it is, please be informed that I would have considered more professional and more polite the link to the FAQ where you think should be a...

    <CANCEL> or <SUSPEND> buttons

I need some suggestion on the following issue: working on judge databases and having to handle a lot of informations on them, sometimes happens that a job started with a PRG lasts many hours before it is completed (I arrived frequently to exceed 12 hours). The only option I have used till now to...

Anyone ever integrated VFP frontend with SAP

Ali, The link here below probably will help you in more knowing about the structure of SAP DBs http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/LOSCI/LOSCI.pdf I had the opportunity to face the problem of "asking" SAP about data (i.e. no need of “sending” data to it), and didn't come out...

    SYSTEM MESSAGES IN GERMAN

I’m facing a strange behaviour on my VFP9 – SP2. When testing my projects (on the VFP environment) and programmatically calling, as an example, the function DISPLAY STATUS TO FILE "myfile", I get a file based on the English language. When I build the EXE from the same project, the function...

    Surpress ODBC error messages...

Hi Neil, To handle errors, not displaying anything, put in (the top of) your PRG ON ERROR DO errorhandling (to even improve add WITH PROGRAM(), LINENO()) In errorhandling use AERROR() to identify and process your troubles. Hope this helps.

    Tracing the Progress of Transactions

Thank you Mike. I’m aware about the Thermometer class in VFP. However I would like to know to which feature (variable most probably) should I associate it to trace the progress. Thank you again.

    Tracing the Progress of Transactions

I have many transactions (like APPEND FROM, COPY TO, REPLACE ALL) working on very big tables, and therefore lasting few seconds before they are completed. Sometimes the user of the program could get the feeling that it is no more working, I would like therefore to trace the progress of the...
