    Floating image in IE

eff: I have tried that code before but that does not create the desired effect. That simply places a fixed entity to the disered position; it does not scroll down with the user as I need it to. Sincerely, -SC

    Floating image in IE

Chess: It doesn't work in IE. Here is a link: http://www.unitednetworksonline.com/test.html See it in Firefox - that's the way I want it to work in IE. Thanks, SC

    Floating image in IE

I have the syntax working exactly as needed for standards compliant browsers such as Firefox as seen here: <div style="position: fixed; right: 10px; top: 10px; width: 50px; height: 50px; background: red;">Fixed</div> I need to do the same thing in IE. I was told Javascript would be the way to...

    Layer Positioning Question

VR: That worked! The only problem is in IE it aligns about 50 px to the right of where it is in standards comp browsers. Any idea why that may be? -SC

What is the best way to make a floating image?

Should I use Iframe, CSS float, Div layering or something else to accomplish the following, and what code should be used? I want to have a graphic "float" in the bottom left hand corner of the browser window (just like the feedback image at http://support.interland.com). It will overlap...

    Layer Positioning Question

No. I stated above exactly what I want. I want the image to stay in the same part of the page no matter what res the user is using. I don't want it to always be x pixels from the top left corner. That doesn't do any good. I do not understand what you're talking about in your last sentence...

    Layer Positioning Question

Vr: That's exactly the problem. It is positioning itself from 0px 0px, so if the page is viewed at 1024x768 it's perfect, but at 1280x024 it's misaligned. I need it to stay on the same point on the page regardless of the resolution it's viewed in. -SC

    Layer Positioning Question

If I could I would. The file is an exported Illustrator file with offset tables all of the place. It's not an option. Sincerely, SC

    Layer Positioning Question

If I have the following tag and I want it to remain in the same sport althogh the page is centered and the resolution will vary from computer to computer, what do I need to add?: <div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; width:200px; height:291px; z-index:1; left: 221px; top: 216px;"> Thanks, SC

    Xante 3G Printer Issue

I'm having a problem with a Xante 3G printer. The drivers on the machines (some G4 Cubes, some IMacs, some custom Macs...all running OS 9.x) are all updated to the latest version from the Xante website. When multiple workstations print to the printer it can take several hours for the documents...

How do you add users to the Global Address List?

It was set to Always Run, but I forced it and that fixed the problem. Thanks! -SC

How do you add users to the Global Address List?

I add a new user and mailbox but that user does not appear in the GAL. Any idea why and/or how to get them in there? Sincerely, SC

Merge & Center Hotkey in Excel 2003

Ah the programmer, always looking for the code! I actually didn't keep the macro I made after I saw that it only merged pre-defined rows and/or columns.

Merge & Center Hotkey in Excel 2003

My reference to "C6-E6" was merely an example of a range. I did not mean for you to think I meant that I always wanted to merge a pre-defined range, because that is exactly what I do not want to do. What I want to do is be able to highlight a row of cells anywhere in Excel and press a hotkey...

Merge & Center Hotkey in Excel 2003

That only works if I want to make C6-E6 merge every time I run the macro. I need a hotkey to trigger the merge & center for and cells that I have highlighted.

Merge & Center Hotkey in Excel 2003

I know there is a button on the Format Toolbar or I would not know the function existed in the first place. There doesn't even seem to be a way to record a macro to accomplish this. Anyone else know of a hotkey?
