Re-allocate space from a deleted partition
Have you tried merging the partitions. Don't forget that when you instruct PM to perform a task, it queues the tasks until you actually command it to perform. It is also possible that you will need to switch the unwanted partition to "secondary" before it can be removed.- lucerne3

Step "out of the box" and consider what might cause freezing. In my experience, a common cause is overheating of the processor caused by a fan either not running or running slow. You may not have adequate cooling even if the fan appears to be running. Over to you...- lucerne3
